Delivery Information

Our aim is to make our delivery charges as simple as possible so there is only one delivery charge per order! We will automatically calculate the amount payable based on the total value of all the items you have ordered, with absolutely no hidden charges for heavy items. It doesn't matter how many items you order and if you spend more than £300, delivery is absolutely free!

Our delivery charges are as follows:

£101 - £200 £10.00
£201 - £300 £15.00
Over £301 Free

Please note that very occasionally, for customers living in remote rural areas we may need to add a surcharge to cover the costs of additional distribution. We will notify you of any incremental charges within 24 hours of placing your order and discuss the options available to you in greater detail.

If you cancel items or purchase additional items affecting your total order value, the delivery charges will be automatically adjusted to reflect your new order. In the instance of you order falling below the £301 free delivery threshold, we will charge you the appropriate delivery charge based on your remaining order.


Delivery Promise
Our aim is to deliver our products to you as quickly and conveniently as possible. Because of the nature of products we sell, some items are literally made to order! We deliver most orders within 21 days. Please allow a little longer for some of our larger gates. In the unlikely event what we are unable to deliver within 28 days we will not take payment until the items are ready to dispatch or we will offer you a full refund.

We agree to use all reasonable efforts to deliver your items on a delivery date agreed with you in advance. However, the final delivery process can be made by third party suppliers/carriers and therefore certain aspects of your delivery may be beyond our total control. It is therefore essential that all the information you provide to us relating to your order is totally accurate, particularly the delivery address, postcode and contact details.

Having completed your order, if you have any concerns whatsoever or haven't heard from us within the last 14 days please contact us by e-mail (sales@thegateworkshop.co.uk) or telephone us on 01606 834834.

Delivery Areas
We will deliver to all UK mainland addresses. Unfortunately, at the present time we are unable to deliver to customers in Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly and the Scottish Islands.

Delivery Process
Delivery is very straight forward, once you have placed your order:
- You will receive either written or e-mail confirmation of your order with your details, the items you have ordered and the total value of your transaction.
- When your order is almost ready for dispatch we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date, usually within 14 days.
- You may track your order at any time by contacting our Customer Services team, either via e-mail (sales@thegateworkshop.co.uk) or by telephoning us on 01606 834834.
- Once you have agreed a delivery date, all deliveries will be made direct to your door. Our normal delivery days are Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) normally between 8am and 6pm. We cannot offer exact delivery times, although we can usually indicate whether delivery is likely to be in the morning or afternoon.

Once we have delivered your order to your chosen location, all responsibility relating to the item will pass to the customer and we maintain no further responsibility. Any loss or damage to products shall then be at the customer's own risk. No signature is required for proof of delivery, except where some external carriers use this for their own confirmation or company policy.

If we experience problems during the delivery process?
If we cannot find your address or there is no one in when we arrive we will attempt to contact you via telephone using the number you have provided. If we cannot contact you and complete the delivery, we may have to return your order to our distribution centre. This will delay your order and may incur additional costs for a subsequent delivery. So please do everything you can to ensure delivery can be made.

If you chose to e-mail us, we will respond to you within 24 hours, except weekends and Bank Holidays when we will reply the next working day.
